Getting Project Started

Project starting questions; Timeline, Pricing, Payments, Information transfer, and more.

Timeline

There are a lot of factors that can play a role in the timeline and it is based on the complexity and customizations needed for your project. It is difficult to determine how long a web development project will take, especially if the scope of work changes and/or major edits or revisions are required during the process. On average, we estimate a six to eight week turnaround and we strive to provide you with the fastest way possible to complete your project.

Payments

We require an upfront, non-refundable deposit of 1/2 price prior to starting your project. The remaining balance is due upon completion /approval of the project.



We prefer that payment be made via wire transfer, however, we also accept checks and PayPal* payments for all major credit and debit cards.


Please note that If paying;

– By check, we will not start working on your project until payment clears our bank.

– Thru PayPal: it has the standard rate for receiving domestic transactions is 3.49% which we will adjust the amount accordingly.

Hosting & Domain

No. We don’t do domain registration and hosting services. But we would love to assist the purchase of domain and hosting, based on your requirements. You own the account, we configure the hosting account and server for you and build the website on there.

Emailing

When it comes to emailing issues, Webmaster’s responsibilities are outlined as very limited unless our web agency offered the email service and is getting paid directly by the client for the service. Webmaster can deal with the issue by contacting the client’s email provider, on their behalf of the client, and will work with the provider to try to resolve the issue. Client will be billed on the hourly rate for the time spent attempting and/or resolving the issue.

We also typically work with our customers who intend to have products to display or sell by providing them with a detailed product inventory spreadsheet for them to complete at the start of the project.

Revisions

You have 2 revisions before finalizing your web project with us. There are any additional costs for further revisions depends on the changes you requested.

Maintenance / Support

Your site is your investment.

Maintenance Plan

Maintenance plan is optional however, if a maintenance plan is not purchased, Grafxion is not responsible for the lost content or any type of technical issues on the website or server after the Project is marked as “Completed”.

Usually within 24-48 hours all the first responses will be executed. We respond to emails quickly.

We charge $80 to $120 USD per hour and estimates are based on approx. # of hours, complexity, and urgency.

Other Questions

Misc

By working with Grafxion, one of our Terms and Conditions is that Client has no access to make changes to the settings, configurations and/or framework as that can lead to the website breaking (i.e. crashing, instability and/or inaccessibility). This procedure is in place, to protect both Grafxion and our clients and to avoid costly future expenses to fix and/or correct issues caused by the Client’s own action. We only provide limited access to the Client which allows the Client to make minor changes to their site. A Maintenance plan needs to be purchased when the site has been published. If the Client chooses to terminate Grafxion’s services, then the Client needs to follow the procedures as stated in our Terms and Conditions, this also includes the use of other web designers/developers as this goes against Grafxion’s policy. If the Client does not want to follow Grafxion’s policies and procedures, then the Client agrees to pay Grafxion a transfer fee for full ownership to the Client’s site and Grafxion will not be held responsible for any future technical issues that occur to the Client’s site, once the fee has been paid.

Client will not use a 3rd party web designer/developer without express written permission from Grafxion.

Termination

A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the contract signing. Cancellation of any web design project by either party will result in a refund to the client of all fees paid beyond the deposit amount, minus the amount already incurred in the development of the project by the date of cancellation. Web design cancellation refunds will be processed and delivered within 30 business days of the cancellation date.

Oh No! We really don’t hope for that. We will work with you to take the corrective action and do our best until our client is satisfied. But as per our business agreement and policy, the unsatisfied customer will be paid off within 30 days.
