How to screenshot only the open window on a Mac

To screenshot only the open window on a Mac, press and hold Shift + Command + 4, then press the Spacebar; your cursor will change to a camera icon, allowing you to click on the window you want to capture.

• Shortcut: Shift + Command + 4 + Spacebar 
• Function: Changes the cursor to a camera icon that lets you select a specific open window.
