To specify the type of item, add the text “kind:[type of item]” at the end of your search.
For example, to search a banner you designed in and saved as a sketch file, enter
banner kind:sketch
For example, to search for photos of Florida, enter
florida kind:images
To search for file types in Finder on a Mac, you can:
- Open a Finder window
- In the search bar in the top right corner, type “kind:”
- Type in the file type you’re looking for
